b. Halifax, 1982. Jaime Angelopoulos received her MFA from York University (2010), BFA from NSCAD University (2005) and also studied at Meadows School of the Arts in Dallas, TX (2006-07). She was awarded the Hazelton Sculpture Prize in 2013 and has participated in artist residencies at KulttuuriKauppila Art Centre (Finland) and the Banff Centre for the Arts (Alberta). Solo exhibitions include PARISIAN LAUNDRY (Montreal, QC), MKG 127 (Toronto), YYZ Artist Outlet (Toronto), Cambridge Galleries (Ontario) and Stride Gallery (Calgary). She recently presented two-person exhibitions, The Ruin in The Refuge is the Hole (Finland) and Awkward Dimensions at LVL3 Gallery (Chicago). Group exhibitions include Out Of Line at Oakville Galleries, trans/FORM at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (Toronto) and the nationally touring, Material Girls. Her works are held in the collections of York University, Bank of Montreal, Cambridge Galleries, The Hazelton Hotel, Norton Rose, ALDO Group, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Claridge Collection and numerous private collections in Canada, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Miami. Jaime's work was recently included in Feelings: Soft Art (Rizzoli NY International Publications) and the April issue of Chatelaine Magazine. Opaque Architectures, Jaime's third solo exhibition at Parisian Laundry continues until April 23.
